RIGA LATVIA

Riga is a beautiful city and it has many lovely gardens and a rich heritage of art nouveau buildings. Yes T - designed by Eisenstein's father. shocking though to realise how many people died resisting the Russian occupation so recently! the stone is the memorial to one of the newsmen who died. We stayed on a council car park. convenient but ugly and miles to the shower. a Dutch woman cycled there in her pyjamas!
