Flowers for T and R
Lupins grown wild in Southern Finland. Eat your hearts out R and T. The slugs always ate mine in England but here in the early summer they grow in abundance on the edges of forests, in clearings, and on roadside verges, tall spikes of blue, purple, pink and cream. They are stunning – I could not at first believe my eyes. I took these at Sibelius’s house at Jarvenpaa. His garden is just forest but there was a clearing below his grave.
