This is where (and how) we lived while waiting.
We went to an agricultural show so that John could learn how to be a farmer.
We went to an Occitan concert so that John could find a choir to join.
It was John’s birthday – as you can see he takes champagne very seriously.
We went skiing so that we could have something to do in our long days of leisure and retirement. This was a birthday present for John. The ski slopes are about an hour and a half from our new home.
We waited at cafés.
John cycled to Lourdes
We cycled around looking at the storm damage near our soon –to-be village.
