No, not just a fantastic score in Scrabble but a fairly remote, formerly Greek, now Turkish village in Anatolia which has an "underground city" in which the inhabitants would hide until any dangerous invaders had gone away. A bit like hiding behind the sofa until the Jehovah's Witnesses have gone.
